One fourth of the year is over and I have another 31 images to write a blog post about…my March “harvest”. It’s been an interesting month photography wise, because at long last it looks like the snotfest we call winter is finally over and we’re on the way towards better light, which is pretty crucial for photography…at least if you want to take anything more than “moody” gray photos (nothing wrong with those though if that’s what you’re after).Read More
Time flies when you’re having fun, doesn’t it? Already one sixth into the new year and my ongoing 365 project is well on the way to becoming a routine again. Last year I ran out of steam regarding the uploading part during the spring months for a variety of reasons, but this year I am going to keep it up and upload stuff every day. I think the addition of negative scans here and there among the cell phone shots will be the thing that keeps me going, that inspires me to do this one more year. Mixing it up a bit you know!Read More
During the month of December (just like in every other part of the world I am sure) there's a tradition for Christmas markets around these parts of southernmost Sweden. I've been to a number of them through the years, and this year I chose the one at Jakriborg, a faux-medieval housing area a short commuter train ride away from Lund. It has a definite North German feel to it with its narrow buildings with steep roofs, even though it was all built in the 1990s.Read More
As much as I've been shooting black and white analog stuff this year (of which I've developed some but not yet scanned them) it's hard to deny that outside the window the colors are pretty much as vibrant as they're going to be...until the fall colors descend upon us in a few months' time.Read More
Once again it's time to do a monthly wrap-up on my yearlong photo project. This was the tenth month in a row of taking, editing and posting an image every day via Instagram. This month also meant I passed the completely arbitrary, but still somewhat impressive, 300th image of the year. As before I've picked 5 images plus a "cover" to write a bit more about them.Read More
One of the things I enjoy about photography and social media is the interaction, online as well as in real life...because let's face it - tapping away on your keyboard is interaction to a certain extent, but to have face to face conversations with other photographers is a lot more fun!
That is why I try to take part in as many photowalks as I can with the Facebook group I'm a member of, to talk to and interact with other photographers. To be perfectly honest, to take the "best ever" photos during these events is never my goal, because I think you'll have to have a bit more of a solitary time to get your best work done, to be "alone" with your camera.Read More
Just south of the city of Lund the river Höje (well more of a creek these days) runs through the fields and narrow woodlands along it. It's also a nice place for a stroll or a jog if you're so inclined. I chose the first of those two options, and captured these photos along the banks of the creek.Read More
