At a Fashion show?
This week’s blog post is one of those “the things you do for family” moments. My dad had said yes to be one of the “runway models” for a local group of senior citizens’ fashion show, so for rather obvious reasons he couldn't be the photographer...so I (was) volunteered. I also learned a few things, since I don't do event photography that often.
Medieval times...in technicolor!
There are many medieval markets and fairs during the summer months in Sweden, but this weekend was the first time I've attended the one in Lund, Sweden. It was a rather low-key affair compared to some of the larger hooplas I've seen, but I liked that. It gave the visitors space to actually move around and look at the wares and things on sale, as well as the various "medieval" activities you could try out, like axe throwing, archery or even shooting with a siege engine (yep...a real ballista...even if it was rather small).
Concert and cars, lots of cars
“Take less photos...take better photos!” That was the phrase that I started out this year with, and while it feels like I’ve done just that so far this last week has been a direct contradiction of that. At least the first part (hopefully not the last part).
Sakura in Copenhagen
Sometimes I wonder how many times you have to do something for it to become a tradition. Two? Three? More? Anyway...this weekend marked my fourth time visiting the Sakura festival in Copenhagen, Denmark to photograph the blossoming cherry trees, the performances and mostly the people visiting the festival.
Such crowds at Sci-Fi World!
I went to the Sci-Fi World event in Malmö, Sweden this weekend with my 12 year old nephew, who is a “nerd-in-training” with a preference for Star Wars, the world of Tolkien and LEGO of all kinds. Of course I brought my camera with the hopes of capturing a few cosplayers there.
